 UPSC- Union Public Service Commission has published a notification for requirement of Nursing Officer. 

Total Vacancy- 1930 posts

Online application 

Start Date- 07.03.2024

Closing date- 27.03.2024

PAY SCALE: Level- 07 in the Pay Matrix as per 7th CPC. 

AGE: 

30 years for URs/EWSs, 

33 years for OBCs, 

35 years for SCs/STs and

 40 years for PwBDs. 


(Lower Age limit for all Categories is 18 Years) 

ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS: (A) (i) B.Sc. (Hons.) in Nursing from a recognised University of Institute; or Regular course in B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute or Post Basic B.Sc. Nursing from a recognized University or Institute; and (ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife (registered Nurse or registered Nurse & registered Mid-wife) with State Nursing council. OR (B) (i) Diploma in General Nursing Mid-Wifery from a recongised Board of Council; and (ii) Registered as a nurse or nurse and mid-wife (registered Nurse or registered Nurse & registered Midwife) with State Nursing Council; (iii) One year experience in minimum fifty bedded hospital after acquiring the educational qualification at (B) (i) above.

Cyclone DANA and 2200 baby born in Odisha

Today  Chief Minster odisha Sri Mohan Charan Majhi said in conference that during cyclone Strom 2200 baby born and 18 twins. Under ‘Mission Zero Casualty’ of the Odisha government, priority was given to children, elderly persons and pregnant women. About 6,000 pregnant women were safely evacuated and admitted to different medical centres and hospitals ahead of the landfall of the cyclone. The delivery was conducted smoothly and both mother and baby are fully safe and healthy. All kinds of treatment facilities were provided in the hospital,” said Dr Upasana Biswal from Talachuan Primary Health Center. “The newborn babies during the cyclone will be the future architect of new Odisha,” said Revenue and Disaster Management Minister Suresh Pujari.
